Responsibilities
- Ensure the day to day operations of a large community sports facility are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Maximise operational management strategies, systems, processes and best practices.
- Ensure all contracts, licences, insurances and documentation required for the safe and effective operation of the Park are in place and adhered to consistently.
- Manage procurement systems for the effective operation of community sports facility
- Recruit, train, mentor and supervise staff
- Update and Inform directors and board members as determined necessary
- Increase customer service and address areas for growth
- Deliver on sales and marketing plans including the day-to-day management of social media
- Manage financial returns and review financial data to improve profitability, budgets and forecasts
Requirements
- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience budgeting and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Leadership ability
- Outstanding organisational skills
- A good networker capable of building relationships with multiple stakeholders at multiple levels within the organisation
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Operations/Sports Management or related field [Desirable]
- 5 years proven experience [Desirable]
- Interest in Sport, Health, Wellness [Desirable]
