Merry Christmas from Fethard Town Park

Wishing all our visitors a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

What a great year we have had in 2023 in Fethard Town Park with the key milestone being completion of the park in April! It is a joy to see so many people using the park on a daily basis and the array of great days, events, matches and occasions being held here.

JANUARY 2023  

Fethard Town Park takes part in ‘Ireland Lights Up’, a national walking campaign to get people walking. Volunteer led, we welcomed over 550 walkers over the 6 week programme

FEBRUARY 2023   

Fethard Town Park is the venue for all Tipperary Ladies Football home league games

A willow hut, fruit trees and shrubs are planted in the sensory garden and are flourishing!

MARCH 2023

Emilys Deli announced as tenant for the Coffee Dock at Fethard Town Park

Tailormade Fitness announced as tenant of Gym in Fethard Town Park

APRIL 2023     

Fethard Town Park received the keys of the Community Pavilion on Good Friday 2023

Over 300 fundraising bricks installed on pavilion

Signage is installed throughout the park

Tailormade Fitness & Emilys Deli Open

Fitness Studio open for classes with Yoga, Zumba & Active Elderly classes starting

MAY 2023   

Darkness into Light event hosted by Patrician Presentation Secondary School in Fethard Town Park raising significant funds for pieta house

Fethard Mens Shed is formed

Fethard Town Park Summer Soccer League kicks off

JUNE 2023     

Munster Rugby hold their 1 week Excellence Camp in Fethard Town Park welcoming players from across East Munster

Official Launch of Fethard Town Park by Minister Heather Humphreys T.D. and Mr. John Magnier

A ‘Game of Two Halves’ – Rugby/ Football with International and local stars is played to commemorate the launch of Fethard Town Park

JULY 2023 

Fethard Town Park sign an agreement with the Irish Wheelchair Association to host their school leavers programme

Fethard Town Park welcome Eagle Impact Rugby Academy [EIRA] from the USA to play Munster Rugby in a travelling friendly match

AUGUST  2023   

Munster Rugby U18 and U19 boys take on Ulster and Leinster in the Interprovincial series in Fethard Town Park

Fethard Town Park welcome lots of visitors to Fethard Town Park including Mary Butler, Minister of State for Older People and Mental Health and Paschal Donohoe, Minister for Public Expenditure

Fethard Town Park is nominated by Tipperary County Council to represent Tipperary in the 2023 All-Ireland Pride of Place Competition in the COMMUNITY WELLBEING INITIATIVE category,

Over 400 fixed seats installed in the spectator stand

SEPTEMBER 2023

Fethard Town Park welcome Fethard & District Daycare Centre to the park

Fethard Town parkrun celebrate their 1st Birthday

National Alzheimer’s Society host their Annual Memory Walk in FethardTown Park

New signage to identify Fethard Town Park as a Community Centre for the Irish Wheelchair Association is installed

Fethard Town Park add 2 new members to the team now totalling 7 in the team

OCTOBER 2023

Training resumes for clubs, schools and local groups

Fethard Town Park undertake a Sustainability Audit and develop plans to increase solar capacity.

NOVEMBER 2023

Fethard Town Park attends the All-Ireland Pride of Place Awards in Armagh

3 Orchards of fruit trees (apple, pear & plum) are planted in Fethard Town Park

Fethard Town Park are working towards the installation of 4 EV Charge points early in 2024
