Fethard Town Park has been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award by An Taisce, recognizing its excellence in sustainable management and its role as a model public green space in Ireland.

The Green Flag Award is a non-profit international accreditation programme that recognizes and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces. This year, the international honor was awarded to 120 Irish parks, gardens, greenways and wildlife sanctuaries across the country, marking a growing national commitment to environmental excellence and public amenity.
Fethard Town Park stood out for its strong commitment to biodiversity, pollinator-friendly planting, eco-conscious infrastructure, and community engagement. It has quickly become not only a beloved recreational area but also a hub for environmental education and sustainable development in the region.
